But doctor, my legs are really muscular

I have a physical tomorrow. I scheduled my physical on one of my vacation days. This was not planned and now I pretty much ruined my own vacation day.

I'm concerned because I'm sure I've gained weight since my last physical. There was a lot of delicious food in the past two years. My clothes still fit so it can't be that bad.  Or so I keep telling myself.

At my last physical my doctor told me I was at the top of the healthy weight range for my height so I should try to lose a few to be on the safe side. I tried to show her my calves and explained that my legs are really muscular. She didn't think my muscular legs were a game changer. I mean how much leg does a girl gotta show?

So this past week I've been trying to eat better, walk a little more and not snack so much. Good plan, except that a week is not going to cut it. I'm ready to face the doctor though. Tell me I need to lose a few and get it over with. Life is not worth living without french fries. I'm still shaving my legs because I don't have a better excuse.

Denial in the pants

Sorry if you're expecting this post to be sexual in nature because it's not.

It does involve pants though.

I've been shopping for new pants because the current pants I own are pretty much falling apart. Back in December I was out shopping with Dave and I picked up my normal size and he took one look at them, told me I was crazy and handed me the next size down. I told him he was crazy, I am this fat ass size (ok, it's a normal size but I feel like a fat ass) and to prove it I took the pants I picked out and tried them on in the dressing room. Turns out Dave was right. How is it that my boyfriend can pick out my pants size and I can't? Don't I live in this body every day?

I thought maybe it was a fluke. Maybe these jeans were just nice jeans that run big to make you feel better about yourself. To test my theory I bought two more pairs of pants from different stores. I had to buy the pants to test out my theory. I also had a gift card. Turns out I actually have gone down a pants size. I can no longer be in pants denial.

I have to admit this is probably due to Jillian Michaels. I've been waking my ass up early every other day and working out with Jillian. It's not fun being yelled at by Jillian at 6:30 a.m. but I can't deny that she gets results.

My ultimate goal is to go down one more pants size. I ate a salad as a side instead of french fries the other day. That was a really hard choice but life is full of hard choices.
