I'm finally going to see Our Lady Peace

I don't know about you but I get really excited about seeing bands I love in concert. There's something about being there in person screaming the lyrics to your favorite songs alongside other people who get it.

One of my favorite albums is Clumsy by Our Lady Peace. It was pretty much the sound track to 7th grade. I still have that album on my ipod. I could have seen them once back in 1997 but you see my friend Melissa took my friend Brandy and Germana and I were pissed. We wanted to see Our Lady Peace too and we had to listen to Melissa and Brandy talk about how great they were in concert. Don't worry, we still talk today so I think we got over it. Now, 15 years later (gahhhh! that's a long time) we're finally going to see them in concert.

Too bad Germana and I got rid of our Jnco jeans.

Bring on the 90s rock! And they better play my favorite song.

Boston cracks down on "aggressive" dancing and Ginny goes on a rant

I have to laugh at this - Crack down on aggressive dancing

"Slam" dancing is now illegal in Boston. Would someone like to tell me how a club is suppose to prevent a mosh pit? If you're in a large venue and a mosh pit starts, good luck kicking out everyone involved in the pit. You'd have to cut the show short and people would probably riot. So clubs are suppose to put up signs that say "no moshing" and then if there is moshing they get fined. This is just laughable.

As a concert goer you know what you're getting into. If you don't like moshing then don't go to a metal/hardcore/punk show or you can be like me and stand off to the sides and avoid the mosh pit. The House of Blues has multiple levels and is quite large so I've never had a problem avoiding the pit. Neon signs are not going to solve this problem and doesn't the BPD have anything better to do then hand out a ticket to a club for a mosh pit? Maybe patrol the streets for real crime?

Boston is the most progressive yet puritan state there is. It just blows my mind what is legal and illegal here.

Gay marriage LEGAL (yea!)
Mosh pits ILLEGAL
Marrying your fist cousin LEGAL (?)
Tomatoes may not be used in the production of clam chowder ILLEGAL (well I agree to this)
Alcoholic drink specials ILLEGAL (I'll make my own then!)

We're falling apart to halftime

I've reaturned from the mysterious town of Swansea.  I say mysterious because quite a few of us had to google Swansea to find out where it is.  Jesse and Kristina's wedding was a raging good time.  There was tons of food, drinking and dancing.  It was disgustingly hot but that didn't slow us down.

My dress which I got on sale at Banana for $39.00.

Docks and high heels do not mix.  Docks and beer do.

Darryl actually making a normal face in a picture.  Good job D-Man.

This would be me being classy laughing about something on the floor in the hall of the hotel.

There are more pictures on my Tumblr if you're interested.  I wish I had gotten some pictures of the dancing but I was too busy dancing to remember.  Back at the hotel we had a little after party.  I feel asleep after watching the end of Dinner for Shmucks and laughing hysterically at Steve Carell.

Vincent Van Gogh. Everyone said to him, "You can't be a great painter, you only have one ear." And you know what he said? "I can't hear you."

Sunday we had brunch before heading back to Boston.  I was so tired but had plans to see Rihanna in concert with Carly.  I took a very short nap, showered and headed out to the show.  I knew more songs than I thought I would.  Not a bad show but not the best I've seen.

I got to bed around 1:30 a.m.  Gross.  I am dragging today and I can't wait to get home and go to bed early.  The weekend just flew by!
