Identity not so crisis

I just noticed that I reached 50 followers! Thanks for reading guys! I've been having a blog identity crisis lately so it's nice to know that people read this thing. I feel like I don't really have a specific blogging "style". One day I feel like posting about movies or books, the next I write rambling thoughts. Kind of disjointed but the whole reason I started this blog was to document my life and just write. That is what I'm doing. I'm way over thinking this.

So thank you for reading, commenting and subscribing. I love blogging and don't plan on stopping any time soon.  Lucky you.

If there's anything you'd like to see more of on this little blog of mine let me know.  I'm curious to know what the people like.

  1. I have had my blog for 3 years and still have barely 50 readers. I read just yesterday that someone turned off their commenting because they were having the same identity crisis. This is something we all go through and is totally normal. I'm glad you got some validation from your readers.

  2. I completely know how you feel. And I just hit 50 followers last week! My blogging is all over the map to. I literally write about everything. But, apparently whatever you're doing is working, so keep it up!

I just started following...so no suggestions yet, but if I think of anything, I'll let you know. :)

  3. Yep. Been there, had that identity crisis. I think I think about it less now. I tell my stories and hope people will like them, and that's about as much as I can do.

I love your blog Gin. I love that almost everyday, I can come check out some entertaining snippet. It never gets old because you're cover so many subjects. It works, girl. :)

    Love you,
    Lor

  4. @hainesmorgan - I was blogging for a few years under my own domain so when I moved to blogspot I had some readers follow me. So it probably took about 3 years for me too.

@Sarah - I think we have a similar blogging mindset. All over the map it is!

@Lor - I love your stories! And thank you!

  5. I know exactly what you mean. I felt like it was super inappropriate to be talking about Auschwitz with a fucking cartoon scribble and "an exercise in public humiliation" scrawled across the top of the page.

The fact that you talk about so many things is my favorite thing about your blog. I think you do that really well - your subject is broad but it's ultimately YOU that serves as the unifying factor. And you're awesome enough to pull that off.
