Everyday I'm hustlin' (for my damn cat)

I brought Bosco to the vet today which is always fun times. He is a very good cat when he goes. He doesn't try to bite or scratch the vet and all I have to do to get him into the carrier is open the door. He has no idea what's going on and is all "oh cool a new thing I can crawl into...wait...NOOOOOOO!" At least this is what I imagine he says.

The vet tells me that he lost about a pound which is good because he is fat. He now weighs 16lbs rather than 17lbs. What's not good is that he needs a dental cleaning. Being a life long cat owner I know that this is going to cost me approximately one of my kidneys, possible a spleen as well.

The cost of today's visit totaled $317.00

The cost of the dental surgery will be between $500-$600.  I'm guessing it will be more than that. Poor baby though. I could see that his gums were inflamed and one tooth looks really bad. He's on antibiotics for ten days. Good thing he eats anything so I can sprinkle it in his food.

So this cat lady needs to hustle and earn some more green. I can see it now, hanging out on the street corner.

Random lady: "I need money to support my 5 kids."

Me: "I need to pay for my cat's dental cleaning."

Everyday I'm hustlin'

He's lucky he's so cute. He really is a trophy cat. He sits at home all day. I work and bring home the cat food and cuddle with him and tell him how cute he is.

I am attempting to train him to be more helpful around the house. I'm starting slow with teaching him how to brush my hair.

  6. That is the main difference between having pets and having kids. At least with kids, you can make them get a job and start earning their own money. Pets don't really have a way to bring home the bacon.

  10. I hear ya. My cat needs to go to the vet, but I just don't have $$$ in the bank right now. Not enough to deal with what I know will happen anyway.

Your cat is adorable. You're lucky it's fat. My cat weighs between 4 and 5 pounds. I'm pretty sure she's just gonna break one day.

  12. You're in luck. I'm going to open a feline dental practice to pay for my ticket to Vegas. I'll give Bosco a discount on braces

  13. Your cat is fortunate to have as gracious of a owner as you. I would have been brushing my cat's teeth on my own.
