Party likes it's 2008

Last night we got the party started at dinner.

A very nice picture of me if I do say so. I must be saying something that starts with the letter F. Amy looks cute so I shall post it.

We split some pizza at Jimmy's (white for me) and then headed over to Golden Temple for some dancing times.

The ladies are ready, and Bonnie is getting ready to take many embarrassing pictures.

The dj is pretty bad. He doesn't believe in downloading music, he uses cds. This is what we were told when we requested Gangnam style. Ok, continue playing Michael Jackson, the Thong Song and any other song circa 2008.

Golden Temple attracts the weirdest crowd. Perfect people watching opportunity. We made some friends on the dance floor.

Ladies night family portrait.

There were quite a few cougars out which is no surprise for GT. Drunk college dudes is prime cougar playground. I don't judge. They're just having a good time.

I only had a few drinks so I'm feeling pretty great today. I didn't want to be hungover helping my cousin with her save the dates this afternoon.

I'm glad I finally got to meet Bonnie. Melissa has talked about her quite a bit. It's too bad she lives in Florida. She fits right in with the us and the GT dance party.

Ladies night

Ladies night started with wine and dancing to Nikki Minaj. We then took ladies night on the road (walking not driving) and bar hopped. A plumber started talking to Melissa and I. He really looked like a plumber. Someone needs to cast this guys as "plumber number 1" in a movie.

"Plumber number 1" asked us if we were single and we told him no. He asked us if he would have had a chance otherwise. Melissa was all "YEA!" In a very much not yea voice. I don't think "plumber number 1" noticed.

We moved across the street for a little dancing. The dj thought it was 2003. There is no need for a Shaggy song.

Last stop was the Tavern. I was arguing with some guy over pinot grigio.

"Pinot grigio does not exist!"

"Yes it does! You can buy it at any liquor store!"

I guess wine snobs are not fans of Pinot grigio. I don't care, I love it.

I had two cookouts to attend on Saturday and I was hung over zombie Ginny. I made it though and ate lots of food and drank lots of water.

Tonight I am going to watch the Spice Girls perform at the closing ceremonies of the Olympics. I'm really sad the Olympics are over but hey SPICE GIRLS!

It's my wine in a box

Mini boxed wine is pretty good. I like to call them adult juice boxes. Wine on a Friday night is a bad idea. I should know this by now. I'm usually exhausted by then and wine just makes me more sleepy. I fell asleep on a couch on my best friend's boyfriend's friend. Wine + couch + shoulder = nap time. I woke up at 5:30 a.m. in a panic for no reason really. I woke up friend I fell asleep on. He probably thought I was crazy because I was looking for my coat like a mad woman and then ran out of there. I think I was just embarrassed for falling sleep on a person I just met. It's like that person that passes out next to you on the plane and next thing you know they're leaning on you. Awkward.

So yeah. Wine in a box....

Saturday was pretty relaxing. I hung out by the water front and ate some clam chowder. Very New England. I saw some jelly fish in the ocean which was pretty cool but I'm pretty sure they're just planning their attack on me. "Come on in the water Ginny....."

Today I sat on my butt and watched hours of the Walking Dead. I also ate Chinese food and waited until 3 p.m. to brush my teeth. I'd call that a successful Sunday.

I should have brought more shirts

I've learned something while I was in Newport. Bring many extra shirts when handling a baby or at least my nephew. I think he was spitting up on me for fun.

Multitasking auntie wearing the same shirt two days in a row.

I love Newport Rhode Island. I haven't been there since I was 21 and I loved it just as much this time around. Look at this view that I woke up to this morning.

Not a bad view right? Even though I looked like this when my brother woke me up I did have a good morning.

Thank you Sean for this lovely moment.

The roof deck on the hotel was awesome. I need a roof deck in my life, or even a porch! City living sucks sometimes.

One of my favorite things in Newport (besides the mansions) is Cliff Walk. It was a bright sunny spring day so we decided to check it out.

CAUTION! Do not throw your children off a cliff!

These signs were all over the path. In case you couldn't tell that your were actually on a steep cliff.

I had so much fun spending time with my my brother and his family. I'll be really sad when my they go back to Louisiana.

I was singing Peal Jam to Hunter in the back seat and he was cracking up. Probably because I can't sing and because I do a weird Eddie Vedder voice. His car seat had the word "evenflo" on it which started the whole singing thing. I'm not this crazy Pearl Jam fan.

I'm heading out into the night with my cousin Alexis and the always entertaining Molly. I'm probably going to be horrified by the men out there in the world. I have no desire to flirt with bar dudes but I probably will. Good thing my ladies got my back.

Like a hipster ghost

I never go this long with out blogging but work has kept me pretty busy this week and by the time I got home I was exhausted. I'm back though with a plethora of pictures.

Thursday night after a long day of trial prep a few of us went to Lolita for drinks. I love the bathrooms there so of course I had to take pictures.

 This is my dream wallpaper.

Someone walked in while I was taking this. Don't mind me I'm just taking photos of myself for my blog, enjoy your pee time. I really need to do something with my hair. It's very blah right now.

Antonio says "welcome to the bathroom area"

Friday night was a last minute outing for some drinks with Melissa and Darryl. I had been out to dinner in Allston earlier so I was wearing my hipster attire.

I have no face. Just eyeballs and eyebrows.

Like a hipster ghost.

I saw the Hunger Games yesterday and I won't go into too much detail here because everyone is already blogging about it, but I will say that I thought it was well done. The movie followed the book pretty closely and I was very happy with the way they handled the deaths. I was worried that it would be like Twilight where you never see any blood but that was very much not the case.

I was up at 5:30 this morning which is dumb because I'm tired so I decided to blog until I got sleepy again. Back to bed!

Getting my hair did

If you spoke to me yesterday and I was acting kind of funny, yeah sorry about that. When Ginny is tired she does strange things. Stranger than my normal strange.

Beer + no dinner = Ginny making mini white pizza at 1 a.m.  I couldn't just eat some crackers or make some toast?  I woke up to ripped cardboard and black olives on my kitchen counter.  I suddenly remembered that I pretty much performed an entire No Doubt concert for the cats.

I'm getting my hair cut today.  I can't wait!  My hair is just way too long and now I think I'm going to bob it.  I haven't had short hair in a while.  I told Dave I was going to get a short lesbian like hair cut; perhaps inspired by Justin Bieber. "Well, just go to a good hair dresser. With your hair type you could pull it off." It was very nice that he was trying to be supportive. I hope he wasn't to disappointed when I told him I was joking.

Pictures after I get my hair did.
