Man I had a fantastic long weekend and it's not even done yet folks. I refuse to snap out of long weekend mode until Tuesday morning.
I went to a co-workers wedding this weekend and you know what? Weddings are a lot of freaking work! I was just a guest at this wedding but just seeing all the little things that make a wedding come together. It's stressful just thinking about it. Good news though, I am so very far away from being engaged so that stress will not be happening any time soon.
I visited my mom and her boyfriend Tony. I told them about my missing digital camera. At this point even Nancy Drew couldn't solve this mystery. Tony suggested an old Italian trick for finding lost items which is to tie a handkerchief on a doorknob and then your lost item will be found the next day. I don't own a handkerchief so we'll see if a scarf will work. Dude, I'm desperate here. Tony also made me lunch to bring home with me. I'm not sure why but he insisted and I'm not one to turn down a turkey sandwich and oatmeal cookies.
I got to meet up with some lovely bloggers this weekend. @JenFriel @NicoleMarieSays @JoannaB are all awesome ladies and we had a great time chatting over drinks in Cambridge. You can read Jen's post about it here.
Today's Jerry Springer topic - The Recession Made Me Cheat. I agree wholeheartedly with blaming anything on the recession.
I went to a private Jewish school and my teacher once told me this trick for finding things and of course I laughed in her face. Then I tried it, and it worked, which could have just been a coincidence, it worked everytime I did it, except once. So, I would give the hanky trick a try ( hey say that ten times fast).
ReplyDeleteI love me some Jerry.
I'm willing to try anything at this point.
ReplyDeleteTONY. SEND ME SOME LUNCH.
ReplyDeleteI love weddings, they are so much fun. Glad you had a great time. Good luck finding your camera.
ReplyDeleteThe recession made me cheat.. on my taxes. Not really, but that would make sense!
ReplyDelete@Lor - I'm sure Tony would make everyone lunch.
ReplyDelete@Tsa - it was totally the recession
