Facebook needs to die (this post is back from the dead)

I had a post here about facebook and how I have a very love/hate relationship with it but I somehow deleted it and now I'm too lazy to re-type it.

Just take my word for it that it was brilliant writing.

And Sarah, in response to your comment. I think you are right that Timeline will not kill facebook. I was just using that as an example of a change that I am not a fan of.

UPDATE: Bob was nice enough to copy and paste my post from his google reader.  Thank you!  See my original post below.

Is anyone else ready for facebook to die? I mean I'm on it every day but I'm really annoyed with Zuckerburg making changes to facebook every week. This new timeline thing sucks. I hate it. Can we just leave facebook alone? I joined facebook because I was sick of pages blinding me with bling and ICP blaring at me every time I went on a myspace profile. I'm pretty sure only juggalos and creepers are still on myspace.

It will happen eventually. Facebook will not last forever. I'm all for change and Zuckerburg obviously has some idea what he's doing to get this far but I've said it once and I'll say it again. He does not understand what the average person really wants. He is not an average person. He assumes he knows what's best for the average facebook user and so he makes these changes and ignores the backlash. People are just waiting for the next thing and they will jump ship and I will laugh.

  2. I just love that you are staring at us from your header all mob wife-y. I know this post was about Facebook, but I am distracted by your hotness.

  3. I agree. I'm ready for Facebook to go away -- Timeline has completely destroyed my enjoyment because it's difficult to navigate. And now they're going public, which means there will inevitably be more changes to keep stockholders interested and happy.

    1. You're right. Now that Facebook has gone public they will care even more about profit than what people want.

  4. I am with you. Facebook just keeps getting worse and worse.

  5. I'm not a fan of timeline either...I spend less and less time on Facebook these days. (Though that's probably because I like blogging so much better. :)

  6. I do think the way it is at the moment, it's very easy to find info about people on facebook you're not actually friends with, due to the constant privacy setting changes - and it appears the timeline thing makes it even worse. It's definitely making me more wary of what I say/do on it.

And I agree with Lor, your pic is very mob-wife-y, and it's cool!

    1. Yeah I'm going to have to check my profile once Timeline is forced on me and see if I need any changes.

  7. I am sort of glad I don't have Facebook anymore though I understand why everyone is still on it. The changes were very annoying and you have no good way of making sure people you don't care about pop up in your feed. As a whole I'm a huge fan of G+ :D.
