Pleurisy sucks but the Walking Dead does not. Accept for that whole thing with the horse.

The weather here in Boston has been all over the place. High 60s one day and snow the next. This wacky weather is nothing new to a New Englander but it's causing me some major allergy problems. First there was the sneezing and once the sneezing stopped I had a bout of pleurisy. I tend to get pleurisy for a few days when the seasons change. I'm feeling better now but I'm considering just being hooked up to a Benadryl drip.

In non allergy news my brother is coming to visit the first week of April. I finally get to meet my nephew! I'm a very excited auntie. My mother and I were suppose to fly down to Louisiana but with my mother's boyfriend having major surgery very soon we offered to pay for my brother and his family to come up here. They'll be staying at a time share that someone in my sister-in-law's family owns in Newport, RI. It's a bit of a drive from Boston but not too far. Plus Newport is a really great city. I can't wait to go back. My mother took me there as college graduation present and that was years ago. I feel old saying that. The tricky part is going to be requesting time off for my brother's visit. My co-worker is going to be out recovering from surgery and having two of us out at the same time is rough. There's not much I can do though. I'm going to request three days off rather than five and cross my fingers that it gets approved.

I finally started watching the Walking Dead. I've seen it pop up on my Netflix instant but put off watching it for whatever reason. It's a great show even though a horse gets torn to shreds in the first episode! Can we stop having zombies kill animals in movies. I pretty much lost it watching I am Legend. Remember when I admitted that I get more upset when animals get killed in movies? I still stand by that.

It's Saturday and I have plans to meet up with G-Dog to see her new place and get some food and drinks so enough blogging and more eating and drinking.

  6. The walking dead is awesome. I just watched the newest episode and almost shit myself. You will cry, because i know i did. And seriously, mother nature needs to get on a regular cycle because this PMS shit is killing me! I never had allergies before and this year, for some reason, they are affecting me more than anyone else.
