In this post I actually talks about sports. Who am I?

In case you didn't know the Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup.  All of Boston is clutching their Dunkin Donuts coffee today at work.  I am not a die hard sports fan like some Bostonians but I did watch most of the series.  Everyone was so excited and happy for the Bruins I couldn't help but get swept up in the moment.  The Bruins played well and kept the smack talk to a minimum.  I loose respect for teams that talk trash and unfortunately there was quite a bit of that from the Canucks throughout the series.

Boston seemed to keep the celebrating under control.  I walked to the T after watching the game with Carly and there were people cheering and hugging and there were police in riot gear but they just stood to the side and kept an eye on things.  I got on the T with no incident.

In Vancouver cars were being flipped and lit on fire.  I never under stood rioting.  I've never had the desire to destroy property over sports and it just baffles me that people can't control themselves.  All I can think about is that poor car owner.  It's just so pointless and senseless and really pisses me off.  And yet I'm not flipping or burning anything!  Imagine that.

Boston has had some car flipping in the past.  It seems no city is immune to idiots.

I think this may be the first time I wrote a post about sports.

  1. Yay, Bruins!!! I obviously am not a Bostonian, but as a Minnesotan, it's pretty much a requirement that we hate the Canucks. So the Bruins surely had my support. :)
