I love sushi!
I just recently came to this realization. For many years I was pretty blah about sushi. I would eat it but I would rather be eating something else. Everyone told me that eventually I would learn to love Sushi. Here is me admitting that you were right.
The first time I actually really enjoyed sushi was at Sushi Roku in Vegas. I picked out a few safe options. Scallops, yes I like scallops, let's do that. Throw in some California rolls because everyone seems to like those. My sushi arrives and it was a delicious party in my mouth. Now I crave sushi on the regular. Who is this girl? It's like I don't even know me anymore. I'm still bad with the sushi lingo. I like the menus with English descriptions so I don't accidentally order eel. Sorry, can't do it. Eels freak me out.
Now if only I could figure out how to properly use chop sticks.
Eeeexcellent. At some point when we're feeling a little spendy, we'll have to go to Douzo in Back Bay. They do tasty things with the fishies. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds good and yummy to me!
ReplyDeleteStay away from the octopus too ... the little tentacle-pod things are creepy :(
ReplyDeleteOther than that, I could (and pretty much do...) live off of sushi.
Mmm, I haven't had sushi in ages. I love octopus, though, and roe. Yummy.
